Baking has been a past time of mine, pretty much my whole life. I learned everything I know about it from my mom & grandma. My mom taught herself how to decorate cakes, which she made for friends & family. As a child, I thought I was just playing, I would decorate graham crackers and then eat ’em! As an adult, I practiced on my friends & family decorating cakes. After graduating from Lincoln High School, I worked at General Motors (for 17 years). I had a dream of opening a “sweet shop” when I retired with 30 & out. My office kept moving farther & farther away. I grew up here in Willis, and now own a house (with my husband – JJ) in Milan. We did not want to move and I did not want to drive 2 hours each way to work, so I quit and took a chance. On January 24th, 2000 I officially made my dream come true and opened “Confections by Lynn”. Thanks to a very supportive husband, who also created the name. My motto is “Sweets & Treats…with a Personal Touch”. It is very important to me that everything I make is made with Love! I want to help you have a Great Dessert that you are Proud to Serve.

The world is moving so fast, and everyone is in such a hurry. I wanted to put a little old fashion customer service back in our busy lives. I try to do that with the “Personal Touch”. I appreciate each and every customer…because without them, my dream couldn’t have happened. Each order is special to me, because it is for someone special, you.

Country Pie Stands are better than any other thing in the world, I think. Lynn here has the market cornered on great pies in this neck of the woods. You just can’t beat it. Order them a day or two ahead of time, and you’ll be good to go. She’ll make any pie you can think of and it will be the best pie you ever had. My personal favorite is the Apple pie, but I’d eat just about any other kind and be happy about it. They are all around $10. She makes other things like cakes and sweet, but who cares? You want Pie! Take a trip down Willis Road and make sure you’re looking for her, or you’ll miss her. Well worth the time and money… these pies are the real deal.

We have been buying our cakes from Lynn since my daughters 1st birthday, she is now turning 9! Even after our move to another city, we drive back to purchase her cakes. It just would not be the same without it! We have also purchased cupcakes, cookies and muffins and have always been very happy.

My brother and now sister in law had their wedding cake made here and it was awesome!!! Every year now for their anniversary they get a little cake to celebrate.
